A friend of mine slid off the road last week with her 1997 900 Saab. The car ended up on its side up against a tree.
She was alright, not a scratch, but the car needs some work.
Both tires on the pass side are flat, some suspension in pass front end is bent or broken as the wheel is not pointing like the driverside does.
Pass fender is bad, but hood opens fine, strut tower is not interferring with any pulleys, engine still runs OK. Bumpers and lights both front and back escaped any damage.
Both pass side doors are dented, the back one should be replaced, the front door could just use some bondo. Mirror housing is cracked although the motor and rest of the unit is OK.
Winshield is cracked.
She has roughly 130K but the motor was replaced maybe 60K ago. It was a really nice car.
Any thoughts on whether to fix it or use it a parts car for another Saab? BTW she had no collision coverage.
Thanks
Jim
