My drivers seat was somewhat possessed because sometimes when I hit the brakes it would occasionally start moving as close to the steering wheel as possible. The problem was since I was hitting the brakes it would lock the seat belt so I would be getting the squeeze. If I quickly reached down and used the seat controls it would stop the forward motion. Obviously I could deal with this too long so I pulled the fuse. Then I found the solution on this site and it was ridiculously easy. You just have to pull the control panel (just the buttons on the seat) out of the drivers (or maybe the same thing for the passenger seat) . If you feel around under the panel you will feel the way to release it. Then you unplug it, pop it open and clean the contacts with a pencil eraser. Yep you got it and eraser will fix it. You are just wiping away the corrosion caused by the moisture that dripped on the panel from the window. Or in my case the top being down or the water bottles I put on top of it due to the lack of a large enough cup holder. Hope this help you. I was so happy when I fixed this (after pulling and replace the fuse whenever my wife had to use my Saab).
