Clutch Problems? Need help!

I have a '94 900SE V6 with a 5-speed manual. While driving to work this morning, I went to downshift while taking a turn. I heard a grinding sound and the clutch pedal fealt like it was pushing back at me (almost like the brake pedal when the ABS kicks in). After that, the clutch pedal fealt like it was engaging 1" off the floor. Also, the car won't shift into any gear. If I shut it off, I can place it in first and drive in first, but it won't let me shift into second. If I try reverse, with the engine running, it will grind and not go into gear. If I shut it off and place it in reverse, I can back up, but not shift out of reverse.
If I place it in first, drive a bit, and then come to a stop, the car will act as normal, letting me stop without dying. If I take my foot off the brake, it will ever so slightly coast forward (as if the clutch isn't fully disengaged). At no point, though, can I shift it out of or into gear. If I force it out of gear, I can't get it back in.
I figured the clutch cable adjuster had failed and replaced the cable with a manually adjusted cable. No luck, the problem persists. Does this sound like a clutch failure?
