low / weird idle and purge valve q's

Hi,
I became a proud 1998 9-3 S (automatic) owner a few months ago. The sheer joy of driving this car is something else!
I have recently noticed some idle issues, which are intermittent (each "symptom" has occured at least a couple of times, but not always):
1 - cold engine, turned on ACC and the idle seriously dropped when stopping, to the point of rather violent vibrations. turned off ACC and all returned to normal.
2 - an entire trip when coming to a stop the idle was a little lower than usual (750 rpm instead of the usual 1000).
3 - after a few minutes of a "sporty" ride, upon stopping the idle drops low and slowly climes back up again;
4 - idle drops or goes higer when shifting out of N or when going from R to D etc (this happens regularly).
Any thoughts?
In my last service (120,000 km) i had the purge valve replaced with a new one from eeuroparts, as mine was getting really noisy. the new one is less noisy, but is still audiable from the cabin - should I be conserned?
(my specialist said that this can be solved by moving the valve to an alternate location - but i would rather leave it in its original place if its just a matter of ignoring the faint ticking).
