Well, i've just finished my 2nd week with the our '99 SE HOT - and yep, i'm in love. However, as I mentioned in my previous post, it's seeping a bit and i'd like to go through with the retorque. Also, while the Saab dealership in Dallas replaced several things, they never touched the headbolts. While I was at it, heck, i'd just replace the headbolts as well. So, I get on eEuroparts and order the set of bolts...but when I pulled the red Elring box open, I found out that they're the gray stretch bolts which Anders says "are no good" (have BUFC on the top of 'em). So, what do the pros say? Should I see how good eEuroparts return policy is, or are new bad headbolts better than old bad headbolts? Could they do more harm than good?
Also, when driving, I occasionally heard a loud clank from right under the drivers seat - so I looked under the car, and it appears as if the bending bit of exhaust right behind the muffler is not where it should be, along with some sort of black rubber line. Everything else looks perfect down there, but that catches me as not quite right. However, when I try to move it, it feels pretty solid. Is there some sort of bracket that's fallen off, or is it supposed to be that low? Also, what's the black line that runs parallel to the bending bit back there?
Thanks for the help Saabers. Turbos are great.
