A very interesting boost issue ...

I have a 2-door, 5-speed, 2000 Saab 93 base and lately it hasn't been performing like it used to. It has 102,000 kilometeres (approximately 62,000 miles) and it just doesn't boost as well as it used to. In fact, it boosts rather erratically. If I floor it in 5th, let's say, at around 2,300 rpm, the gauge reaches the edge of the red zone (which is good), but then as the revs climb, the boost drops to mid-yellow. It never used to do that, as it would hold maximum boost no matter what rpm's the engine was running at.
A full tune up was done about 6 months ago (15,000 kms ago), with new platinum NGK-R plugs, new fuel filter and a K&N air filter. I also replaced the direct ignition module and kept the old one as spare.
I have searched the threads and I have not come across a similar boost drop problem. It sounds like it could be a MAF sensor issue, or a BPC issue ... Any thoughts???
Thanks guys!
