The fan for heat on my '97 900SE fails to respond to either manual or automatic changes while the car is running. The vent controls may or may not be OK, it's hard to tell with the fan running so slow. However, if I turn off the engine, then turn the ignition switch to the on position without restarting the engine, the controls seem to work perfectly. Any ideas what's causing this and how I can solve the problem? I've done the recalibration (press auto & off simultaneously) several times but that doesn't help.
