That's very aspring of you! I have been racking my head for quite some time now on how to even remove the old oil pressure sensor. I cannot get any kind of tool in there, from either above or below the car. Have you thought your way through that hurdle?

For the adapter, I wonder if Loctite 574 would work? It is an anaerobic sealant which cures in the absense of air. The 574 is supposed to fill large gaps. According to the technical sheet (http://tds.loctite.com/tds5/docs/574-EN.pdf), it will reach 100% of the strength of steel in 24 hours of curing, if the gap is 0.05 mm. Or 50% of the strength of steel if the gap is 0.25 mm.
