Usually I can seperate those type of end joints with the nut on and a whack (since I'm replacing I don't care if it bungs the threads either) but the damn thing isn't budging - what kind of puller did you use? I was going to go to the borrow a tool place at the local parts shop and get a wedge type and try to hammer that in to split the 2 (since there's plenty of gap, and again I don't care if I tear the boot on the old one...) -
