Can anyone please offer feedback on replacing a clutch on a '99 93 w/a 2.0 liter? The vehicle has 110k and the clutch is starting to slip. I have been getting estimates of around $1000 from both a dealership and an independent mechanic that I have been using. I have been hearing good things about Sachs clutch kits and was wondering what experience anybody has had with them. Can anyone advise a brand that is known for performance and durability? The car is stock and I don't drive it like a lunatic, but, I would like to put a strong, reliable kit in the car. Does anyone know what the dealerships use? Any parts or mechanics that you can refer me to would be greatly appreciated. I live in NYC but am willing to travel to anywhere in the tri-state area to get the job done right. Thanks.
