Thanks...I hope this is the case. In the meantime, I'm keeping the window closewd until it gets a bit warmer.
There is a posting on the site about removing and cleaning the switches. But I'm not keen as the postings warn about tiny springs flying off. Knowing me, I would lose all the springs and end up with totally inoperative switches.
