Clip the corners off with a dremel cut off abrasive disk. Then round the profile to match the OD projection of the center electrode. The cut off disc can be eased into the gap to burnish the electrode surfaces. You can also strike off the sharp external corners at the end of the electrode. These changes do two things. The flame kernel has reduced shrouding or quenching by the electrodes, and the decreased surface to volume ration from the grinding allows the ground electrode to run a bit cooler.
The 7ES plugs will run a bit too dark for stock boost.
Warm start hesitation does not sound like a problem that a plug hack would solve. I assume that you have checked the gap and cleaned the injectors.
This will allow the T5 DIC+ECU to run better on high amounts of boost imposed by a MBC+A. The system will be a bit better at getting on boost. Solves a slight hesitation that can sometimes otherwise occur. The improvement is subtle but real under the correct circumstances. Effect with modified ECUs is unknown. Also seemed to work better with a 2003 9-5 Aero with K&N + 3" turbo back exhaust + SMBC. (not current vehicle)
The hack is good in theory for any engine or mod an some of the more expensive NGK plugs have the corners cut off from the factory. There may not be any noticeable effect on stock systems at all.
If you do a MBC, go with the MBC+A. That cures almost all shortcomings of the MBC. But exhaust changes are a prerequisite.
