And with the T5, a MBC+A is also an option.
The T5 needs to have the TBTC reworked, K&N 33-2663, 3" duct mod, remove turbo compressor discharge silencer* or install Viggen IC**. These changes should also be made for a ECU mod as well. A low restriction exhaust is considered non-optional for a MBC or MBC+A; and would also allow a ECU mod to work better.
* these were phased out during 1999 production
** the 99 9-3HOT (high output turbo) variant has the Viggen IC
Any boost/power mod should not be done on an engine that is not in a good state of maintenance.
