How do I know? When my B&G springs sagged and went, the tie rod was hitting my Abbott brace. Not Abbott's fault. The springs were shot.
What I did was just remove the fender brace but left the clamp. I noticed a difference. Agreed, however, that the biggest difference is the clamp itself, especially when it is warm out.
I put the stock springs back in with some new but perhaps cheap dampers and have been happy since. I plan to put the fender brace back in soon. I will post if I notice a difference after.
