I chnaged the lower hose on my V6 900SE and routed it so that there was no contact with the exhaust manifold. as expected car said low coolant till i filled it to the correct level. ran it and checked for leaks as usual, but did not see any. nonetheless car went from normal to near the H but not in it, nor did it go to the red, i carefully released the cap on the coolant res. slowly and added some additional coolant and also turned up the heat to get air out of the heater core. temp quickly went down to normal. had a low coolant this morning and just added about a pint.
question? is there a bleeder on the cooling system like the c900? or did that brief "run warm" do some damage, by brief i mean about 1 minute. no running hot or exclamation/stop lights came on.
i may have to retorque hose clamps, like i did with the upper.
anyone have this happen before?
