Coming from a Viggen driver, be extra careful not to hit any potholes. All four of mine were bent long time ago here in NYC. But, they really are beautiful wheels with this unique elegant glow.

Anyways, a number of posters here make it sound like all Kumho are cheaply made tires from a small company with a tiny R&D budget somewhere in Korea. Cannot be farther from the truth. I am from Korea so I may sound a bit biased but Kumho and Hankook are two very big tire companies from Korea and they make world class tires with very high level R&D. Their success in various types of racing and the level of satisfaction by consumers attest to their quality.

However, I stand by Kumho from my own experience. My first set of tires were the very well known Bridgestone SO3's. Still there are few tires that can beat their performance. Then, for a number of reasons, I tried Kumho Ecsta ASX and I have to say I'm pretty much hooked and now I'm on the second set. Price is very reasonable (half of SO3's), traction is very close to S03's, easily lasts twice as long as S03's, wears more quiet, etc. To the OP, I would suggest checking out ASX at tirerack. Their price is not really that bad (60-70) and good traction means safer even on normal driving conditions. To me ASX strikes the chord and I probably would continue using them unless I can find a better value. $30-40 extra for a little more safety for two years (over 40k miles) is no brainer in my book.
