Bosch spark plugs: FR8LDC vs. FLR8LDCU for V6

I'm due to replace plugs in my '94 900 S V6. I currently run the FR8LDC which is OEM and what SAAB supplies in a SAAB box. They have been fine.
Ordered new plugs from a TSN sponsor and was informed that they will be shipping the FLR8LDCU. I was told that Bosch only ships them these plugs now and they should be fine--they can't get the FR8LDC. However, I am nervous because I could only find this part number on foreign websites when googling. (Check Bosch Australia.) Bosch USA website doesn't have it. Bosch Australia calls it the "Super Plus" with yttrium which is replacing the "Super".
I called Bosch USA (888-715-3616) and they were baffled. They said the FR8LDC is still stocked and available. For the V6, they can only recommend that (or 4301 Platinum +2 or 4418 Platinum +4). The guy said the FLR8LDCU was a strange code sequence unfamiliar to him. Finally, he found a cross-reference doc showing compatibility but still said he'd never seen or heard of this code or plugs. And since they weren't in the system for my engine, he couldn't recommend them. He recommended getting the FR8LDC.
What to do? Return my en route FLR8LDCU order? I don't want to replace the plugs twice. I am considering buying the 4301, as this is cheaper and more easily available, and should in theory be a superior plug. Or I could hit the dealer for only a few bucks more and get the FR8LDC. Mail order may have been a false economy this time.
Thanks, Derek / 1994 900 S V6 163,000mi
PS One linked post (below) had experience with this. I emailed the author who said the plugs were working OK, no noticeable difference. He did say the gap was a bit bigger (1.0 instead of 0.8mm?) which also makes me nervous. Seems like they might cause problems sooner if the gap really is bigger?
