IDM/DIC recall: reimburse the self-installed DIC??

Just received the IDM recall letter. My DIC was diagnosed to be faulty by local Saab dealer a year ago during 60K service. Knowing it's a simple DIY job, I declined dealer's asking price of 600+ bucks, ordered a new DIC from eEuroparts and installed it myself. Now I've put 10K miles on the new DIC and it works fine. The serial number on the new one starts with E so supposely it's not one of those being recalled.
I have the 60K service record from the Saab dealer to show the diagnostic, the receipt from eEuroparts and I can dig up the credit card statement showing the charge. Are those enough documentation to get reimbursement, or will Saab insist on proof of repair done by a shop? Want to see if anyone has similar situation. Obviously if I know there will be any trouble gettting reimbursed, I'd put the faulty DIC back in and drive to the dealer to get a new one. But I don't really want a backup DIC in my trunk, rather have the cash for some other much needed repairs.
Any information is much appreciated. Called Saab customer service 2 weeks ago but didn't get a direct answer, was told to wait for the letter instead.
