You would be better served with a Battery tender hooked up if you have power. They draw next to nothing and will keep the battery up while you're gone. There are those who contend that no current through the car can cause electrical problems. My motorcycle sat for 8 months on the tender and fired right up when I hit the button. You may want to do a search on long term storage, there are many opinions on storing a car for extended periods.
