Hello all
I am going through a head gasket replacement on my 97 900 SET. I noticed that the chain guide on the tensioner side has worn grooves in it which are almost 1 mm deep. Is this normal wear? Should the guides be replaced?? I currently have the head off, which I have heard through posts is a good idea when taking the timing cover off. Now I understand that the oil pan should be removed as well???? Can the oil pan be removed on my model by loosening the sub-frame bolts????
Thanks for all help/suggestions
