I am the original owner of my 2002 9-3 and I recall the window switches on the rear doors being illuminated at night with the headlights on, but if I turned the windows off (child safety), the switches would cease to light up, only to light up again when I enabled the windows. I have seen this is a number of cars.
Now, my windows go up and down, but the switches are never lit up. I am basically taking a survey to make sure I am recalling correctly, or maybe I am just a little nuts. I have the part number off my SAAB EPC software, and I pulled out an existing switch to ensure there was no changable bulb (which there is not). Anyway, can anyone confirm that those switches do light up, before I shell out the money for new switches. It might not be worth it, but it annoys me and I would replace them.
Thanks !
Eric
