Boost is low to avoid wheel spin. The ECU+BPC are doing that.
You can increase the base boost to deal with this. The WG to WGA rod can be adjusted, but that is diffult and the system has to get dead cold for each change. A SMBC would be a better solution for ease of quick adjustments. And it can be removed to go back to stock. You will get more boost and faster boost. It is not meant to be used to replace the fuction of a MBC or MBC+A, but is a good soltion for mild inprovements that still lets the ECU+BPC lower boost if there are any octane issues. Adjust up till 1st gear is about as string as the tire grip will allow. You do not want to be in the 'red' all of the time with this solution. To be there you would need a MBC+A and supporting mods. With a MBC+A, you have too much boost for 1st gear and have to baby the throttle which slows you down in 1st gear, but 2nd gear is then very wild!
