There's an elastic that runs from the corner just back of the rear side window to the base of the rear window, anyway it got wrapped up in the front corner of the tonneau and goofed things up. I was trying to get it undone and it snapped off the little door on the end of the tonneau. Not suprising as I got the car with that same door missing and replaced it but didn't do anything about the dangling elastic and now it's broken off again!

Now the tonneau does not clear the top and the back of the window doesn't latch down on one side. It would seem that the tonneau just needs to be bent a little to miss the top and the rear hoop from the hinge around the base of the rear window is also just tweaked and also need to be bent.

Is eduacated bending the correct way to fix these problems?
