I hate having to track down those odd types of noises. I had a constant squeak last year coming from the back seat area of my 1999 93. It turned out to be a sticker peeling and curling between the headliner and the roof. Sound travels wierdly in a car, but once I removed that sticker the incessant little sound disappeared. I had another buzzing noise that sounded like it was in the dashboard. It turned out to be the boost control valve vibrating on the metal frame supporting the radiator in the front of the car.
Your sound if it is constant has to be coming frrm something that is lite enough to move by vibration as oppoesed to a big bump. Check the wiring harnesses, trunk release cables, rear dash covers, side panels, headliner, etc.
Play passenger while someone else drives to see if you can narrow down where it is coming from and press on things to see if that stops the vibration. Once you narrow down the proximity, you'll have fewer things to could be causing it. Then tape or cable tie whatever it is down to damped orremove it.
Good Luck
Jim
