I'm having trouble with the mod, and would really, really appreciate any help. The telephone switch is working fine, so it's just the audio portion. I started with trying to cut the trace between the left and right telephone connection points, and connecting the ground (per Seth). Ground seems good (though I did connect it to a ground point that was not next to the telephone inputs, so that I would not have to solder directly to the board.) When I did this I ended up with just the left channel. I then cut the trace from Tele L to the input, and ended up with both channels but they are very, very faint. If I remove the ground I get both channels, moderate volume, with a high pitched whine and very tinny.
I then tried German's Mod, soldering the Tele L and R to the CD Changer inputs, and the Left and Right feeds from the mp3 to the CD Changer connection points. I left the ground where it was. Result was extremely distorted intermittent soft bass and nothing else. It mentions connecting the CD Changer Ground (earth) L and R connections - where are those? Are they the connection points labeled CD-R and CD-L? Any advice?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Bill
