We'll do it the hard way then, warts and all:
1. Remove the stock, passenger’s side, steering-rack clamp, including the rubber mount.
2. Place the back side of the KIC clamp behind the rack with the large hole at the bottom. The bottom hole should surround the firewall stud. Note: some manual manoeuvring [sic] of the rack may be required, don’t be shy.
3. Place the other side of the KIC clamp over the rack and finger-tighten the Hex Nut onto the firewall stud.
4. Attach the support brace to the top of the clamp using the long bolt, finger-tighten.
5. Progressively tighten the top and bottom of the clamp as to ensure proper alignment. DO NOT completely tighten bolts until the support brace is aligned to the other mounting source.
6. Swing the support brace so that the free end touches the wheel well.
7. Remove the press stud located at 1’Oclock [sic] – when viewed from outside of car. (the press stud is one of many that hold the dirt shield in place)
8. Remove the passenger’s side front wheel.
9. Open the 6mm hole, created by absent press stud, to 8mm using a drill.
10. Bolt the support brace in place, take care to use a washer on the outside of the fender well.
11. Completely tighten all the bolts (progressively).
12. Replace the wheel.
13. Recheck all the bolts after a good road toast [sic] to ensure proper alignment is maintained.
14. Put a smile on your face, you are finished.
