So today I was running errands and stopped at the store.
Car was running great as usual.
I came back out and started up the car. I got in a hurry and killed it as I was backing up, and least I thought I killed it.
I went to start it again, and it just wouldn't fire up.
I went for a walk for a while thinking that I flooded it. When I tried again puttered a few times but then died and wouldn't start again.
This is where it gets odd.
I had it towed home. Of course, as soon as it was parked at home, I tried it again and it started right up, and ran fine.
I let it idle for about 5 minutes, and it never missed a beat. I was about to go somewhere but I thought I would try it one more time. I turned it off and let it set there for a minute or so, and then tried to start it again. Same thing, won't start.
I pulled the top off and checked under the spark plugs but it seams dry, not like it is flooded. I blew out the cylindar to see if it smelled like it was flooded, but it didn't.
So that is where I am. Sound familiar to anyone? Any suggestions?
If you could give me a list of things to check? How do you check that the fuel pump is working or not?
Thank you in advance for any help!
