For me, the non-starting problem was intermittent, only happened once out of every 50 or so starts. (The frequency was getting somewhat higher by the time I ordered and installed the crank angle sensor from eEuroparts.)
My guess is that the hesitation on acceleration is not related to the non-starting, or at least, not to the CPS problem.
