Cut-out, lurching problem

Hi,
My 5-sp Manual Trans 1994 900S (2.3L, non/turbo) with 135K miles has a condition similar to the one in this post, which is causing the described random/intermittent lurching:
http://saabnet.com/tsn/bb/NG900/index.html?bID=75925
It's so abrupt it almost feels like it clunks out of gear, then back in again. However, the tach never varies in rpms so I don't think it's clutch related.
At first I thought it became more likely to occur as the temperature increased, but now I'm not so sure b/c it happened again today (68 deg F) after running for only 5 minutes.
I gave it a complete tune-up a couple months ago and it drove fine since before this started. I've eliminated the distributor and ignition coil as the culprits.
I have read many, many posts here and have gravitated toward suspecting the ignition switch, however when it lurches none of the dash lights or chimes go on/off, the SID stays on, and there doesn't seem to be any electrical breaks anywhere.
It doesn't really feel like there's crap in the fuel system either because it's not a "gasping" sensation, but a violent, lurching, cut-out, cut-back-in one.
It's so erratic that I hesitate to take it in, but that might be the last option.
Any input would be great,
Thanks,
Mark
