After I posted I remembered I had an old FAG about, so I figured it would be interesting to compare the two - come to find out, the Ruville says FAG on it and is identical (except for where it says Slovakia instead of Hungry) to the old one.

So either Ruville is doing some pretty slick countefeiting, or they are repackaging FAG bearings and I have no cause for complaint.

I did find a few complaints on the net, though, from people who had bought Ruville bearings and found they were made in China or Korea.
