The first question if you have a leak is where it is. There are lots of places for an auto A/C to leak since every connection has an o-ring. There are two rings at the compressor, two at the receiver, four at the expansion valve. There are also two valve cores, low and high, that can leak. If you have to add refrigerent even once you need to find the leak... but trying for a quick fix by filling it once is not too bad. But, if you have to go back again, you need to find the leak. This can be done with either the dye type charge or with an electronic sniffer. But, it needs to be found.

FYI - NG900's tend to leak from the upper hose, down under the radiator. I'd wager 9~3's probably have the same wear issue. If you check the hose you can see physical damage to it in most cases.

If the system needs to be opened, they should replace the receiver/dryer, vacuum it clean, and re-charge with the proper refrig & oil.
