I just assumed that a 225 referred to a 17" wheel, my bad. Without going to 17" rims I'd stay with the stock size for the 16's, which is either 205/50 or 205/55. The slightly lower 50 series will handle a skosh better. A 55 series will be a more common and hence cheaper size and ride noticably better. Anything larger than that slows the car down by making the car turn less RPMS at any given roadspeed 'cuz of the larger diameter. And I think you need a wider rim than the stock 16's so that 225 16's don't look funny by being too pinched in.
