Noel, I appreciate your input and feel a better about going with this car, if I decide to do so. I don't think the old records are available, but I will ask; and I'll take it to a Saab mechanic before buying.

Ethan, I'd very much like to contact the dealer/mechanics you know of as I haven't found many options on my own, and what you suggest is exactly what I've been looking for (I'm willing to travel to find the right car). However, I understand what you're saying. Perhaps you could email me privately about these businesses, if you're comfortable with that?
