Is anybody else seeing poor quality Saab parts?
I love my 2002 9-3 SE Convertible, but the parts quality problem is driving me away from ever owning another Saab.
Here is a summary of the problems I have seen
* Ignition cassette failed at 10,000 miles Replaced under warranty
* SID missing pixels Replaced under warranty
* Fuel pump bracket spewed gas all other Repaired under warranty
* Steering wheel radio controls failed Replaced under warranty
* Wiring harness short random diagnostic errors Repaired under warranty
* Radio antenna failed to extend Repaired under warranty
* Onstar system failed to detect signal Replaced under warranty
* Ignition cassette Saab recall Replaced under warranty again
* Shift knob leather wore away around top of knob - Out of pocket expense
* Hood badge eblem most of the paint chipped - Out of pocket expense
* SID missing pixels (again) Out of pocket expense
* Brake booster internal seals failed Out of pocket expense
* Convertible top hole worn in fabric near rear window
Do these problems seem average to you? I have less than 64,000 miles.
What has your quality experience been?
