Need some help.. Clutch pressure plate alignment ???

Ok, extremely simple in theory and operation.

Following Haynes (fairly undetailed) specs on the refitting of the clutch 'cover' or pressure plate. Section 6.4 sub 13, " fit the clutch cover assembly, aligning the mark on the flywheel with the notch in the rim of the clutch cover (see illustration)".

Ok, that being said,the illustration is horrible at best. There is a slight mark/dent on my sacks replacement, but nothing noticeable. However there are 3 pin holes on the pressure plate and 3 pins on the flywheel. There are 2 weighted ? rivots (sort of) corresponding the the pin holes on the pressure plate, with the third being just a hole. Now the mark/dent is sort of (leftish) near this? But it doesn't align with the "mark in the flwheel" TDC, like Haynes states?

I don't know if this is making sense to anyone, as it is frustrating me to no end. I just want this aligned per the specs, if only I knew what they were. I only wish that Haynes was more detailed.

How did anyone else do this? Am I wasting too much time, should I just put the darn thing on, with no regard to the alignment? argh.

Frustrated in 95 degree weather..
