You have to pull a lot of the stuff out as if you are doing a water pump replacement to get in there and do it. Other than that, it's not too bad. You have to empty the system to do it so the high pressure will be no more. FYI - it's only high pressure when the compressor is running... the rest of the time it's not all that exciting but it should be carefully emptied.
Order the hose from eeuroparts.com complete with o-rings. Buy a new receiver/dryer. You can order the (4) o-rings for the r/d from them too but they do not seem very good at sending the right ones - I bought mine from the stealer for a much inflated price.
After you are all done, go to a pro and have it vacuumed and the oil/r134 added.
