Well – I recently did mine a view times, and did it a few times due to receiving a bad rebuild.
Place something under car because you will loose fluid. Purchase a Turkey Baster, Paper towels and maybe some paper cups. I also borrowed the GM Power steering pump pulley puller from Autozone.
Remove connection of the air tube running down to the turbo from the air filter box. I used string to bend the air tube straight up and anchored it to a battery terminal.
Remove the serpentine belt using a 1/2” socket extension in the square hole on the tensioner and remove belt off power steering pump.
Remove power steering pump fluid from reservoir using the Turkey Baster.
Loosen low pressure hose clamp at pump, (tube from reservoir to pump). Place paper towels under place about to disconnect. Pull hose off and raise in the air and I myself place this up in the air leaning against the Air Intake hose.
Loosen High pressure hose at Pump, then remove bolt on pump that holds High Pressure hose. And fully disconnect hose from pump.
Rotate pulley to align hole(s) in pulley to remove the bolt on pulley side using a socked wrench.
Remove last bolt holding pump in place, located on opposite side on of pulley side of pump.
Just the reverse to install, I myself made sure the pump was primed with new fluid. Also worked fluid into system rotating pulley by hand before reinstalling serpentine belt.
Over all it can be done in 30 minutes. Make sure you have the correct fluid type for your car.
