One way to test a fuel pump, is is to apply power to it directly from the battery to the lower terminal of the fuel pump fuse (#32), with the engine off. You can then hear it run (no engine noise), especially if you lift up the rear passenger seat, or if you listen for the noise the fuel makes going through the FPR at the fuel rail.
Connect a wire or a test lead from the positive battery terminal to the fuel pump fuse lower terminal, or directly to the fuel pump power connector at the inspection cover under the rear seat (that is partly why the inspection cover is there). Engine and ignition should be off while doing this. It only takes a few minutes, and if the pump works, you can hear it run.
There is also an inspection cover under the back seat where you can access the fuel pump connectors (for a continuity check, or to measure the fuel pump motor current etc.)
The fuel pump relay is in a relay tray, under the plastic plate which is below the instrument panel, and at the driver's knees.
