Engine stalls on hard braking & bumps

Hi gang,

I have a 1997 Saab 900S convertible that has been stalling mysteriously for months. My car stalls only after the engine has been running in heavy traffic conditions (lots of stop & go traffic). After sitting in city traffic for a while the engine begins stalling when i stop too suddenly, when I hit big bumps, and sometimes while I'm in the middle of a turn.

I first brought it to a Saab specialist and they changed all the old hoses because the computer was showing a bad mix of fuel. They said when I hit a bump the bad hose separates due to a crack and not enough air gets into the chamber. Doing this fix didn't do anything for the stalling. It just cured my check engine light.

Next, I had the mechanic put a new ignition switch. This worked! .. For a while at least. The engine no longer stalled over bumps and turns. It does feel like it's going to stall on heavy braking but it never stalled. Now, the original problem is back a month later. It is stalling again on heavy braking, on bumps and on turns - but only after the engine has been running in heavy stop & go traffic.

Anyone have any idea what I should have checked next? This is getting very dangerous driving around not knowing when it's going to stall next. I'd love to have this fixed before winter or i'll be dead. Thanks for any advice.
