I just don't understand this car, it's a 1997 Saab (lol) 2.3, automatic gearbox. I have been scanning the posts for the last three months and have noticed that problems that are happening with my car, have been happening to others also, like CEL and CGearbox light coming on (doing the R,D,1 thing), and a couple of other noticables. But the lastest is this, wife was driving the car to work this morning, calls me and says "the car is stalled beside the road and won't start". Now we have been having this problem of the CEL/GEARBOX thing happening, so I told her to shift the car without it running (don't laugh, it has always started after this, except this time). So, I went to the car and tried starting it and no luck. So to get the car off the road, I physically pushed it by hand and in neutral down a small decline into this parking lot, to leave it there for the day and pick it up after work. Well, once the car stopped rolling, I decided to try starting in one more time and voila, it started. Strange but true, I just don't know what is wrong, should I take it to a VIP and let them get me a code, can you even get a code if the CEL light isn't on? Could it be the Caddi converter? I don't know, lost for words. If you could send a helpful tidbit , it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
