Your car does not have an upper control arm. I would suspect a bent strut (which is welded to the knuckle) or a bent tie rod. Compare the two sides to determine what the problem is. The lower control arm of the car is aluminum so I would suspect that it would break before it bent. If the strut is bent your best bet is to locate one at a junkyard. The actual strut itself is a cartridge which inserts into the strut case...The strut case is what is welded to the knuckle. It is difficult to explain without a picture. If you find that is the problem, go to the junkyard and get the strut mount, coil spring, and knuckle/w hub and bearing and throw it in. This way you won't have to deal with compressing the coil spring, and replacing the cartridge strut. Make sure that the strut you find at the junkyard is not leaking.
This may be confusing and not make a lot of sense, but I hope it helps,
Jake
