I will tell you from many car experiences. I am the type of person who will NEVER buy a new car. I will always buy something a couple of years old. That being said, ANY car will need repairs at some point. The key is to try and learn to make these repairs yourself. I don't know why someone would ever take their car in for a fog light??? Use this board and learn how to fix things.

I to own a Saab and I to have cursed it out numerous times. There has been some items where I am not sure what the designer from Saab was thinking on that particular day of design. The DIC is an absolute headache for any owner. Same goes for the clutch cable. SOme of the most simple items have been desgned EXTREMELY Poor.

Your Saab will last a long time though. You need to network here and learn how to fix the problems yourself though. If you don't have the means or knowledge to learn, then yes I would suggest you sell. The dealer will empty your pocket every time and fast. There are also many parts that I have bought used to save money. SOme of the parts are rediculously over priced. I know I replaced a Fog light once. I think new it was over $200. I ended up buying one on Ebay for under $30. I also bought a Fuel pump used and put it in myself. New it was about $500. I bought used for $75. No it will not last probably, but I can replace about 7 used ones for the price of one new. All it takes is about 4 hours of my time, which for the most part I like...
