Brake Rotors -- Zinc plated ??

Any concerns about zinc plated brake rotors? Is the zinc plating going to bugger up my new pads??
My concern is that I'm installing new pads at same time. Certainly the first 10 stops or so will remove the zinc from the functional area of the disc surface. Seems to me that I wouldn't want to start my pads' life by asking them to strip a bunch of plating off. Is that plating going to end up on the pad surface and crap up the pad performance??
I see lots of rotors on the market with zinc plating. Others are completely coated with some other corrosion protectant. Should this all be skimmed off before we mount the rotors?
