Just got done fixing the window mechanical bits on my '01 Vig-Vert.
My Passenger side window was starting to make this horrifying popping sound (almost like a Cracking sound) when the window was being closed or opened. Turned out to be a nut that worked itself loose/off from the glass. It was supposed to hold the "puck" that fits in the guide that makes the glass move in a arc-like motion to make a tight seal.
The only thing that I could immediately see (in retrospect) that could wobble like that would be the glass itself. Are there any scratch marks on the glass, towards the back that idicate such an issue?
Removing the inside door panel is quite easy. Might take an hour to remove, explore, and re-install the panel, but you get a pretty good educational tour on the mechanics of a car window :o)
