Manual/Auto Adjusting Clutch Cable

Ok, It's time for me to switch out my old "self-adjusting" clutch cable that isn't doing it's job anymore before my tranny/clutch goes to hell with all the grinding. Should I get the manually adjusting clutch cable or the automatically adjusting one? Is the manual one hard to adjust with all the tight spaces under the hood? Any info would be great :) Thanks in advance
