That's very interesting. So, it's about 4" less deep with the seats folded than the 'classic' 9000. I'm not sure if the CS body 9000 is the same, but I suspect so. I recall that my 9000 seats didn't fold totally flat either, but extremely close. 38" depth/length behind the rear seats is way more than my Suzuki (only 30"), but trunk width is comparable, and depth with the seats folded is identical. Interesting that Saab put the floor 7" below the sill, which might make unloading of heavy objects a little awkward. Personally I don't mind that, but it's a lot bigger drop than in the 9000. There's essentially no drop in my Suzuki, but there's storage under the whole floor, about 4" deep, above the spare tire. I thought it was really cool initially, and it is, for hiding stereo gear and tools and such when you have nothing else in the trunk. But after my recent road trip, I'm thinking I'd rather have the floor lower, because it's hard to get under the floor when the car is packed to the gills with camping gear! I think I would be bugged by a 2" high crossbar though. Is it at least rounded somewhat, and plastic covered?
