Are you talking the cover?
If so you will need to take the right side of your trunk liner apart. I believe you use a socket and there are about 3-4 bolts that hold it down.
Once the trunk cover is folded enough to the left of the trunk you will see a metal cover that covers the convertible rear cover motor and the convertible cover transmission assembly.
The problem is that the braket that holds the motor into the transmission is weak, and the motor and transmission separate. You need to lie on your back on the rear bumper, and look behind the metal shield and you will see the gears are not in place. That is where the hose clamp comes in.
Buy a proper size larger hose clamp, and bring the clamp around the motor and transmission, and tigheten just enough to cause the gears to mesh. Do NOT overtighten... You can always go back and retorque.
