I do not believe we need to compromise on quality. After all it is a Saab and quite expensive , is it not ? They were supposed to be "built like Jets". The old 900 was a real quality car with hardly any rust. Evrything was designed with the user in mind . You can feel that the car was designed so that it was user freindly for the mechanic. For example try replacing a defective fuel pump in the NG Saabs. The whole fuel tank( plastic materialmind you ! )had to be dropped before you can have access to the part. Imagine the parts and labor cost for this job. No wonder Saab is losing market share at lightning speed. The only asset it has of value today is its Marque name which was made famous by its earlier unique designs. It is sad, GM must have driven it to the ground.
