No one seems to know what the 2 ohm business is all about. Some speakers exibit low impedance at the tweeter frequencies and the re-rating might be more of a change to the specs than the speaker system.
Those speakers are the CF3.7?s
Take the flying lead from the crossover, twist the wires and tin them 3/4" length. Then fold over once and tin again. Now flatten with smooth jawed pliers. If you have calipers, reduce to a 0.8mm thickness. Clean with flux remover or acetone. These can be inserted into the factory connector. Then fold the wire over the body of the connector and put a small nylon wire-wrap on it. That works very well and meets your objective.
+ve is BR/RD on one side and BR/GY on the other for your model/year
I wrapped some thin packing foam around the crossovers and stuffed them where they would stay put. Also stuffed some poly batting in there as well.
