Freezing nozzles: use only quality fluid rated at -40°. Do NOT use the cheap stuff in winter; also make certain you have squirted all the other crap out before getting down low in temps. If you get snow accumulation around the base of the windsheield, you'll need to clear it from the washer nozzles. To also prevent damage, break the headlight wipers carefully away from the lens before starting your trip. These shoudl pervent your system from freezing. Use the fluid liberaly when cleaning your windshield.
As for ride height, there is not much I know you can do, other than high profile tires, without adjusable shock$. Try to keep the car as empty as possible & be careful how you balance fore & aft weight. Also, as you drive, be aware of upcoming high spots & try to put the tires on them if safely possible. It's freaky driving that way, beause you can easily get shoved into another lane. Do this only when no other traffic is close by. I'll probably get slaughtered for that comment, but I do it here in Anchorage.
As the slush freezes in the evening, watch for big clumps that can do serious damage, slow down & proceed carefuly. I have broken several expen$ive things on the bottom of the car by hitting ice chunks.
Good luck!
